In this weekly feature, Natalie and I bring you items we've found in our shopping travels that we simply love. It could be something we found for a client, something we bought for ourselves, or something we'd like to buy for ourselves. If you love our picks, or there's an item you'd like us to focus on, leave a comment!
This Week Jen Loves:: This reversible tote from Street Level. Funny story: Stitch Fix sent me an almost identical one this week, but it was even bigger, had super long fringe, and was $30 more. I loved the concept, but a) I need a work tote, not luggage, b) I think the fringe would be annoying when it was on the inside, and I don't think it would hold up well. and c) I'm in a bit of a frugal phase (Why is the start of school SO expensive? Not to mention all the activities) But I digress.
I did a google search for "Street Level Reversible Tote", and this one came up....absolutely perfect. This bag is the right size, and I love the reversibility, even if I'll never actually use it! For under $50, it looks expensive, and the wristlet is a nice bonus.
This week Natalie Loves: These dark wash skinny jeans by Democracy. Rectangles and Apples, these jeans are AMAZING!! Last week my client had on these fabulous jeans and everything about them was perfection-- the dark wash,
the inner elastic waistband to hold you in, the mesh panels that give you tummy control, and the pockets that are placed perfectly to give your bottom a boost, not to mention these jeans are oh so soft!! They are available in sizes 4-16 and at only $39.97 you can't beat the price!!
A note from Jen on this one! I opened Natalie's email with her pick of the week and I was so excited to find these, as I'm on the hunt for new dark skinnies. After I picked my little person up from preschool,, we headed over to Nordstrom Rack. I tried these on, and I have to say, Natalie is so right about the fit--although for a true apple, these are big in the legs. I think they'd be best for a rectangles who have athletic legs. However I DID try on another pair of Democracy skinnies, and while I LOVED the tummy control panels in the ones Natalie is showing, this style fit me better--and the denim is so ridiculously soft. Normally I'm a 10 in Kut and Loft jeans, and the 10 in Natalie's pick fit great in the waist, but I ended up in an 8 in the style I bought. I can't find them online, but they had a ton of them at the store, Here's what the tag looks like for style reference. Thanks, Natalie, for guiding me to my new favorite jeans!
