Jeans are a staple of almost every wardrobe, but most women I see don't have great jeans. The kind that fit well, go with everything, and make your butt look amazing, you know? The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale officially starts on Friday, but right now cardholders can shop Early Access. Why not take advantage of the sale and find a pair (or two) that make you look and feel like a million bucks? No matter what your budget is, I've got the jeans for you! Today I've got 5 pairs that won't break the bank--tomorrow I'll bring you 5 more that are worth every penny.
5 Awesome Jeans That Won't Break the Bank
The Dark Skinny - No good wardrobe is complete with out a great pair of dark skinnies. You can dress them up or down, and they look great with sneakers, flats, boots or heels. Pair them with a tee and Chuck Taylors for a weekend look, or a blouse and heels for a night out. When factoring in cost per wear, dark skinnies are probably one of the best investments in any wardrobe, and for under $50, this Caslon pair can't be beat.
The Crop - These jeans got worn more than any other pair I own this spring. They're so fun and modern, and look great with flats, heels, or ankle boots. The released hem and distressing is on-trend again this fall, so why not give them a try? Kut from the Kloth offers great denim at a great price, but they do stretch out, so size down to account for that!
The Distressed Skinny-A lighter wash and distressing gives this pair a completely different vibe than the dark skinnies. They look great with an oversized sweater and booties for an edgier look, but they're also fantastic paired with a feminine blouse and ballet flats. Lucky Brand is always a favorite--the fits are great, and the quality can't be beat. This fit, the Lolita, is great for slightly curvy figures.
The Boyfriend - Nothing updates a casual wardrobe like a good boyfriend jean. My clients are shocked by how much more stylish everything looks when paired with this denim style. The Kut From The Kloth Catherine is actually one of my favorite picks for clients, so I'm especially happy that it's a part of the sale. If you're just trying a boyfriend jean, go for a slimmer fit, like this one. This jean is a steal for under $50, and one thing I love about Kut Denim is that most styles are available in petite, regular, and plus-sizes. Just do a search on Nordstrom's site or check their special sizes for availability.
The Bootcut- My clients are in love with the WIt & Wisdom dark skinny jean (which, sadly, isn't a part of the sale), so I'm bringing you the bootcut instead! Bootcuts have taken a backseat to skinnies, straight-legs, boyfriends, and flares in the past couple of years, but they're a classic style that many women feel best in. If that's you, go for it! Classics are classic for a reason, right? The website says to size down--and they're not kidding. When I put clients in these, I get them as tight as possible to accommodate the stretch. Don't trust me? Buy them super tight, and wear them with tags on for an hour. Then email me and tell me your jeans fit perfectly!!
